This investigation focuses on how the human body can express identity and represent a culture’s values and beliefs. I create a dialogue between the past and present by examining traditional cultures’ ritualistic practices and modern interpretations of those rituals. I’m interested in how the body can be used as a canvas to convey messages about identity, power, and status. I also investigate how these rituals and beliefs are passed down from generation to generation and how they affect how we create and perceive art.
